The BrazilFoundation’s XXI New York Gala, held September 19, 2024, at the Plaza Hotel was a resounding success, shining a spotlight on the foundation’s mission and the profound impact it has made in Brazil. With generous support from guests and sponsors, the gala raised critical funds to sustain BrazilFoundation’s ongoing efforts to empower communities across the country.
Groundbreaking and internationally renowned artists helped to create an unforgettable night, including fashion model Gisele Bundchen who was honored along with her family for their philanthropic support; singer, actress, producer and entrepreneur Selena Gomez who was recognized for her support of mental health programs; a rare New York and stellar performance by Brazilian singer Ludmilla; and hosting by actress Flavia Alessandra and Ingrid Silva, principal ballerina at the Dance Theatre of Harlem.
The evening ended with dancing to music by DJ Gaspar Muniz. Guests were also treated to cuisine inspired by Brazilian celebrity chef Morena Leite of the highly praised Capim Santo restaurant in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
